Stephanie Ely and I met at a weekend Breath Workshop in Palm Springs, CA, in 2026. By the end of the 3rd day, we realized we had many similar life lessons. These led to understanding conversations around family, children, business, artistry, relationships, healing, joy, curiosity… womanhood. What a joy!

Within those conversations and a few months later, we saw a friendship develop that included trust and respect. That included our shared passion for searching, discovering, healing, creating, and sharing our individual art forms, staying within our personal disciplines yet heading towards a similar goal.

So, here we are, blending the Philosophical Practice of Yoga, Finding the balance within, unraveling deeply embedded content to open paths; Providing visual stimulation, attaching it to an inner eye that can see beyond the line and color, diving into a shared, new reality.

Morgan Britt

Morgan Britt has been working in clay for over 25 years. She began her formal training at Sacramento State University under Peter VandenBerge, and went on to study with some of the most significant figures in American studio ceramics — most notably Paul Soldner, who became a lasting mentor and friend.

In the early 2000s, Morgan opened her own studio, workshop, and gallery in Northern California, where she taught classes, hosted nationally renowned artists, created architectural ceramics, and developed a sculptural practice that continues to evolve today. After relocating to Southern California, she exhibited periodically throughout California before moving to the desert in 2020. In the Palm Springs area she has shown work at Desert Art Woman, Perez Art District, Cathedral City and Proulx Gallery, Lofts Arts District, Palm Springs, and has become an active presence in the broader arts community through Desert Open Studios and the Modernism Week Art District exhibitions.

White Rabbit Studio and Gallery is the next deliberate chapter — a space where 25 years of practice, teaching, and community-building come together under one roof.

Paula Kelley

Paula Kelley studies what lives at the bottom of the ocean — organisms that have never seen light, that build structure from pressure and mineral accumulation, that exist in conditions most life cannot survive. A reference book of deep sea photography sits open in her studio alongside the work, its creatures providing a visual language for what porcelain can become: bioluminescent, skeletal, improbable, alive.

Her sculptures are built by layering slip over soft, textile-based forms, pressing color into the material itself rather than applying it to the surface. The result reads like something dredged up rather than made — forms caught between organism and object, between biology and geology. LEDs and fiber optics run through many of the works, feeding light into the porcelain from within. That internal illumination reveals what the material holds in its layers: variations in density, embedded color, structural qualities that ordinary light keeps hidden.

Her current research focuses on coastal and oceanic landscapes — the sensory conditions of place recorded through surface tracing, scent logging, and observational methods that resist easy translation into image. What comes back to the studio is not documentation but impression, and impression is what she builds from.

Aurora Lucia-Levey

Multimedia Artist

Aurora Lucia-Levey is a multimedia artist based in Palm Springs, CA. She focuses on representations of the human face and figure, often making her art using materials that would otherwise be thrown away. Most recently, she has used maps and recycled cardboard, layered with acrylic paint, pastels, marker, and collage. Aurora's art speaks through subject and material — the faces are imaginary, and ask for identity and recognition. Their expressions hint at an emotion that the viewer has to name. The materials link art and real life, suggesting the viewer might be an artist themselves, if they looked around the house and gave it a try.

Born in Boston in the early 80s, Aurora's parents co-owned (and lived at) a DIY avant garde art space in Boston's leather district called Gallery East. She was exposed almost immediately to a world of creativity and expression, including visual art, performance, poetry and music. Since then, the practice of making art has been woven throughout Aurora's life and work.

Aurora studied Art History and Documentary Film Production at CUNY Brooklyn College, after which she embarked on a decade-long career in Unscripted TV field production. After moving to Palm Springs in 2020, Aurora, like many, found inspiration and connection in the desert. Immersing herself in the local art community, she has participated in the last three years' Desert Open Studios, and shown her work at various art exhibitions throughout the Coachella Valley. In November 2025, she participated in her first gallery show at Impell Gallery in The Lofts Art District in Downtown Palm Springs and has since shown at Planet Rooth in the Perez Art District in Cathedral City.
